Photographing children can be a real challenge, but I don’t believe in forcing a child to sit still in front of the camera and fake a smile. When the children come for a photo shoot I want them to have fun and enjoy it.

My intention is for you to have a brilliant “set” of images which are an observation of your child’s natural sense of fun and adventure which are designed to be displayed as a group for maximum effect.

I sometimes use bubbles during a shoot because they can have a calming effect on younger children and look great in the photo’s. For something a little bit different, I suggest you bring a special, colourful toy for split-toning. This will add an interesting and personal dimension to the photo’s.
